Need help identifying military badge WW2 or Philadelphia Police?
It is either a Philadelphia police badge or WW2 Army badge as my father was in both. It is a bar like what you see on the chest of decorated officers. It is navy bolue and has 5 navy blue stars on it. It has a tie tack or pin backing on the back of it. It is metal with the navy blue fabric over it. It is about 2 or 3 inches long and maybe a quarter of an inch high. If anyone can identify this without a picture that would be great. Thanks! (My digital camera is broke)
Medal of honor pin sounds like..for military.
Don't see any thing similar in the police line.
If he did win the medal of honor..you may find him listed here.

Under Armour wear are also duty gear aids
Under Armour tactical wear may not be part of this compulsory duty gear but its easy fitting design, and the moisture wicking material of which it is made of, have made all under armour apparel a preferred duty wear of people who are into strenuous bodily activity much of the time.
What is known as under armour apparel today, was born when one sportsman found the job of changing his shirts during games a big bother? Sportsmen sweat a lot, and he wanted some form of underclothing that could handle perspiration the right way and keep the body cool. The need led to the research for a fabric that can do the job, and to the eventual establishment of a company producing apparel suitable for use by sportsmen, military men, police men, hunters, hikers and all others who have to put up with intense physical activity.
With police and military, their physical activity is their duty, and so under armour wear has in a way become part of their duty gear as well. This is the perfect apparel, to assist in the jobs of both offense and defense which police and military have to do round the clock. For sportsmen also their duty arena is their games, and there also the armour plays its role as a performance enhancer and indirectly becomes part of their gear.
The under armour apparels that function as duty gear peripherals can be under shirts, pants, vests, hats, belts, jackets, or the very popular underwear. Under armour shirts are designed variously as thermal wear for use while weather is cold or exertion level is low, as light wear for use when weather is hot or activity level is high, and also as an in-between all season wear. All these shirts are designed to keep moisture away so that even cold weather wears have ventilation zones that help in moisture removal. And the stitching of the apparel is always done keeping in mind the principles of ergonomics to ensure the mobility and comfort of the wearer.
Under Armour pants can be cold weather leggings that wrap around the skin and keep the wearer warm, or warm weather shorts. Cold weather leggings are stretchable and have front access while warm weather shorts have a lining of breathable material, side panels, internal pockets, and draw strings for additional adjustment. Both wears become duty gear aids under different climatic conditions.
Any form of comfortable wear gets accepted as part of duty gear because of the way it helps in the discharge of duties. That is why under Armour tactical underwear like short boxer jocks, long boxer jocks, boxer shorts, and compression shorts are invariably stored as part of their duty gear by policemen and sportsmen involved in high-pressure ventures. Under Armour jackets, vest, belts, and socks are also likewise performance enhancers during all weathers and all types of job requirements.
