what do they do to hand held police scanners to make them pick up in a town?
I have a digital scanner i bought just prior to the big switch we did to digital.Its a radio shack product but since they went digital here i dont get anything do i need to take it and and is it real expensive to have it fixed It has trunking and everthing on it

This statement is not true. All police radios are not digital or encrypted. It is true, however, that it is becoming more popular. It just depends on who you are monitoring. Some are. Some are not.
