Best way to get Italian police clearance?
I need a police clearance certificate from Italy because I lived there in the past. I am in Germany now.
I have two options to apply for Italian police clearance:
1) go to the italian embassy (frankfurt) one or more times (1 trip = 60 euro and 4 hours)
2) fly/take a train to Italy where I lived for 3-4 days and apply from there. (total cost = 200 euros approx)
What would you suggest? I will probably get the cert a lot quicker if I use no 2) and I am seriously considering it. I will also have a nice holiday
I had a few questions:
-- anyone applied for the police cert from outside Italy? what are your experiences? (process, duration, cost, etc)
-- anyone applied from inside Italy? what are your experiences?
-- will 3-4 days in Italy be enough time to at least apply for it (I don't expect to get it in that time).
First thing: the Italian Embassy in Germany is located in Berlin, not in Frankfurt.
Second: Italy has an extensive consular network in Germany with 13 among Consulates, Vice-Consulates and Consular Agencies. Probably there's one in a place closer to your location (check the website).
Call the consulate before showing up, and ask if they provide "certificato penale" and "certificato carichi pendenti" upon request. If they don't, your only hope are agencies and brokers that provide that kind of certification for a fee. Google for "agenzia certificati" and the name of the province where you lived, and see what comes up.
Good luck!

Police Sunglasses â Effortlessly Cool Italian Style
Launched by the eye wear giant De Rigo, Police was founded in the early 1980’s and the first product to be launched by the brand was the collection of Police sunglasses. The name was inspired by the style of the eyewear worn by the U.S Police and thus the sunglass designs were made accordingly, and have developed over the years to keep up with key trends but still retain that sharp, minimal and sleek style. Police has progressed to become a hugely iconic brand and favoured due to its cutting edge, understated and sophisticated style.
The range of Police sunglasses have a distinctively sporty and casual edge but retain a high level typical of Italian chic. The sunglasses are never ostentatious or too overstated but have a confident styling that keeps the designs highly wearable, practical and incredibly stylish. The frames are designed to suit and flatter a wide range of face shapes and are extremely well constructed to ensure durability. The variety of frame materials and colours also mean that you can inject your own personal stamp on your look. The lenses within the Police collection tend to be more neutral and understated and thus perfectly they compliment the colour and style of the frames. This balance of edgy and classic retains the Police sophistication and wear-ability.
Most of the Police sunglasses designs are unisex and look equally great on and men and women. Police was originally geared towards men and therefore designed their range of sunglasses according to the male facial structure. Appreciating that male and female style has become more entwined over recent years, especially with accessories, Police have adapted the styles accordingly and are now worn by many women who favour that edgy yet sophisticated Police attitude that the brand is synonymous with. Police sunglasses are perfect for ladies who don’t want to look too ‘girly’ but prefer a slightly more cool, urban and chic sense of style. The various styles include wraparounds, most with thick frames and some incorporating patterns such as tortoiseshell. Classic styling is also a favourite with the Police brand and many sunglasses feature sleek and versatile chrome frames and a casual yet sporty feel, perfect for everyday use. Police sunglasses ultimately convey attitude, confidence and charisma and subtle features
such as mirrored lenses add to that fine sense of style.
The range of Police sunglasses due to their minimal and simplistic appearance, look great on most people in an effortlessly stylish, yet incredibly cool style that is synonymous with Italian design. Police is a lifestyle brand that has a cosmopolitan feel and applicable to worldwide style and trends. A pair of Police sunglasses will be an investment and staple accessory that will define your look and are made using only the finest materials making them durable, robust and long lasting. Timelessly trendy with a confident style, Police sunglasses will always be a great option from a fashion and functional perspective.
