OMG, what if they lose?
I'm very proud to be Scottish but today I fear I may end up being a bit ashamed. As some of you might know Scotland is playing Italy in a huge footie match and as someone who is not a fan I sometimes struggle to see why people get so excited about 22 guys and a wee leather sphere.
Anyway, I live across the road from a few pubs and all day I've been watching people file in dressed to the eyeballs in every description of Scottish gear and so excited about watching their team take on really good opposition. Their enthusiasm is infectious I guess but I'm dreading the thought of Scotland losing because I just know that quite a few of the (now) good natured supporters will get trollyed and start fighting. Then the police will be called, maybe even an ambulance, and the pubs will close early. I feel sorry for the honest, friendly fans out there today. Why do some people feel the need to ruin it for the rest?

My husband is a fully paid up member of the Tartan Army and goes to all the games (home & away) and I can honestly say that he has NEVER seen any trouble from fans...on either side when Scotland play...win or lose.
The nature of the fans is infectious and so is their enthusiasm. The will obviously be ecstatic with a win but the general feeling is that even if they don't they have done well to still be in with a chance in the last of the qualifiers.....especially considering their group contained the countries that finished first, second & third in the World Cup last year.
I am not Scottish but I will be cheering them on as I am sure the rest of Scotland will be 
I certainly don't envisage any fights.
