Scanner frequency?

I just purchased an 800 MHz Bearcat BC350C scanner and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find my local police frequencies online or otherwise. If you know of any web sites that provide this info it would be a big help.

Your best bet is http://www.radioreference.com
However, do some web searches to see if anyone else from your local community has put more detailed information online.

Also beware of various changes to radio bandplans and modulation techniques, such as the move toward trunking, the move toward narrowband analog FM modulation and digital APCO-25 modulation, as well as the move toward the 700-MHz public safety band, all of which could affect your ability to receive local police frequencies if those changes have occurred in your area.
