Police Officers, how do you feel about recent events in MA?
The whole situation with Henry Louis Gates arrest in Cambridge MA following a reported breaking and entering. Clearly the officer did the right thing.
What infuriates me is Obama saying on national television that "the officer acted stupidly." My husband is a state trooper in SC and was FURIOUS about that comment. Everyone in his department thinks this whole thing is a complete joke. What do you all think?
I believe Dr Gates acted irresponsibly for a person with his education. I further believe Dr Gates felt being addresses by people "beneath his stature" was offense thus taking the attitude and demeanor he did with the officer.
There is no question that I agree with the officers actions nor wish to see any apology on his part!
I'm offended to hear the Mayor has given an apology and doubly offended to hear the President make a comment, as already previously stated, without having all the facts.
Why does it not amaze me that people are quick to jump on the media sensationalism when all the media seeks is viewer dollars!
Do I believe a "race card" is being played...absolutely!
Do I understand why law enforcement is no longer a desire profession....absolutely!
