Running one business can be difficult, operating several, even when they are all under one long roof, offers even more of a challenge. But Mike Smail finds it more rewarding than managing someone else’s business.

Why would anyone think that government could support health care?

Our government has screwed up everything as all big governments do. They are not designed for productivity. Why would anyone think that one organization, who's leaders are chosen from a popularity contest, could manage our education, retirement, energy, police, military, energy, etc. And now you people want to add health??

Have you ever tried getting a new drivers license? It's miserable. What if that same procedure took place for a doctors appointment when you had a 105 fever. Much fun!!

I went to the dermatologist last week. It was great, I picked a doctor after reviewing resumes of 20+ doctors. If that doctor sucks, I'll pick a different one next time. If Hillary would have gotten her way with the 1994 HillaryCare plan, it would have been illegal to pick my doctor. HOW SCAREY!! AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT FEARS THIS??

The original question, 'Why would anyone think that government could support health care?' is an easy answer... for the same reason that people think that government should support the victims of any natural disaster...

The discussion of government as such, is different from the status of current government as we see it today. No government should venture beyond that which is proper to the protection of rights, and if this was the only focus and responsibility of government, the police, military, and courts would be paradigms of excellence compared to their current status as 'pressure groups' in competition with all comers etc...

The mismanagement of any field properly belonging to the private sector - education, retirement, energy, and health care - are inevitable if left to the government...
