Will a Fixit Ticket be cleared if I replace brake light bulb but the taillight assembly is taped over cracks?
Calif. I backed into a bush, cracked taillight assembly & made a hole in the plastic about the size of a silver dollar. $250 to replace assembly. Taped it instead w/ red & yellow taillight tape. Recent rain, brake light out, fixit ticket. In Calif I must bring the car to a police station to have an officer witness that the brake light is working. Will the officer approve it with cracked assembly taped over?
