Use of official police patches?
My son's 14th birthday is coming up and I love to do "custom" gifts for my kids. He misses our old tiny hometown so I was searching ebay for something to buy him from there and came across an police patch. By random chance this person ALSO had a patch from the police department in the small town we live in NOW. I bought both of them...But what can I legally DO with them?
I wanted to buy him some jeans and sew them onto the back pockets but I'm not sure if it is legal to actually WEAR them (even if it is on his butt...LOL!) Would it be okay (legal) to use the official patches in this way?

Yikes...so sorry. Please believe that I meant no disrespect.
It is legal; however, I suggest you place the patch in a frame and hang it in his room. Problems may arise if he displays the patch in a public area. If you do hang it in his room, he can remember his hometown everyday!
