cop tried to cause me an accident?
I was riding my motorcycle on a two lane highway yesterday and I saw what looked like an umarked black police car coming up in my mirror,this was in Florida ands I had been pulled over on this stretch before for speeding so I tried to maintain within 5 mph of the speed limit .... the car kept toying with me with a dangerous following distance ... i knew in the next mile was GA border and that I could get away with 14 over in GA without getting a citation so once on the bridge I accelrated to 70 because on the bridge the car got even more dangerously closer .... once i was doing 70 the car kept accelerating so i opened it up to 90 mph and the car was left behind ,for a while ..... then as i slowed down to 80 mph the car sped up on me again ... i came to an intersection and signaled 1/8 mile before intersection and eventually the car backed off enough to allow me to safely turn right .... is there any defense had i been cited for speeding that the officer was placing me in danger ?
yeah something like that happened like 1/4 of a century ago to me too. i was outside the city limits and i noticed the lights on the horizon were blocked by something out of the corner of my eye in the rear view mirror [it was nighttime] and it was close and as i looked i noticed it was a cop car and it was tailgating me and it did not even have on the headlights! but i was in the left lane and i might have been close to speeding but it was so long ago i don't remember but i was not pulled over! but i think i remember he did turn on his headlights when we got to the city limits and i think he was a city cop but by then i was not speeding!
