what kind of scanner works on police radios?
do they use normal digital, normal analogue, or some kind of scrambled digital? what kind of scanner would i have to get to listen in on police dispatches? i live on a road with a lot of high speed chases (at night) and thought it would be cool to hear the perps busted. if this exists, what are the range of such scanners? i live in a medium sized town.
